One-on-one coaching for emotional eating and gut health: customized meal planning and grounded, real-world support from the founder of the Academy’s food literacy program. Neurodivergent friendly · se habla español.

Most of us already know what a vegetable is. What trips us up is everything wrapped around the plate: stress, emotions, habits, schedules, budgets, and the stories we carry about food and ourselves. That’s where this coaching lives: in the real world, with the life you actually have.
Together we’ll look at emotional eating, what you reach for, when, and why, and at your gut health, the 38 trillion microorganisms quietly steering your mood, immunity, focus, and energy. Then we build a plan you can actually live with: customized meal planning, small sustainable shifts, and support that meets you exactly where you are.
No dogma, no shame, no one-size-fits-all plan: just grounded support and food that works for your life.
This is coaching, not medicine. I’m not a doctor and I don’t prescribe. You stay sovereign over your own choices, and we work alongside whatever care you already have in place.
Executive dysfunction, sensory food aversions, all-or-nothing spirals, forgetting to eat until everything is urgent: none of that makes you broken, and none of it surprises me. I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients, which means we build systems that work with your brain: flexible structures, realistic defaults, and zero moralizing about “good” and “bad” food days.
The meal plan is the spine of this coaching. Not a printout of someone else’s week, and not a list of foods you have already tried to like. Yours gets written for your body, your budget, your schedule, and the kitchen you really cook in.
Your schedule, your budget, your kitchen, your energy, who else you feed, and what you genuinely enjoy eating. A plan built for someone else's Tuesday will fail on yours, so we build for yours.
Meals, grocery lists, prep rhythms, and simple swaps for the days that go sideways. Written around your gut health goals and the foods your body actually tolerates rather than a template with your name at the top.
Scheduled check-ins between sessions to see what landed, what stalled, and what needs adjusting. Real weeks fall apart and plans need to bend. That is what the check-ins are for.
As your gut heals, your energy shifts, and your relationship with food changes, the plan changes with it. You end up with the ability to feed yourself well rather than a document you follow forever.
The check-ins are where this work actually happens. Anyone can follow a plan on a good week.
Ask a room what gut health means and most people say bloating, heartburn, constipation, the loose and unpredictable days. All of that is real, and all of it is worth resolving. It is also the smallest part of the story.
Emilie Davis holds a master’s degree in nutrition from a natural medicine university in Portland, Oregon, and works as a holistic nutritionist grounded in functional medicine. Gut health is her specialty, and she taught the four-part Let’s Talk Gut Health series on ALLtv with Julie. Here is the short version of why she keeps coming back to it.
Your gut and your brain are the only two systems in the body with two-way communication: the brain speaks to the gut, and the gut answers. It is why mood, focus, and digestion so often move together.
Roughly 80% of the body's immune activity happens in the gut and its lining, where the beneficial bacteria hold the door against what does not belong.
A healthy gut runs about 80% beneficial bacteria to 20% everything else. Both belong there. The goal is the ratio and the diversity, not a war on bacteria.
Skin, autoimmune conditions, energy, hormones, and mental health all trace lines back to the gut. Hippocrates said all disease begins there, and the research keeps agreeing with him.
Modern life pulls on every one of those threads at once. Daily stress, a thin diet, rounds of antibiotics and other medications, environmental toxins, blood sugar that spikes and crashes, and too few of the beneficial bacteria that keep the gut lining intact. Together they wear that lining down into what you may have heard called leaky gut, and the symptoms that follow rarely stay in the digestive tract.
This is why the coaching starts here. Settle the gut and the energy, the mood, the skin, and the cravings all get easier to work with.
Every class is free, on demand, and yours before you book anything. Watch the series in order for the full arc, or go straight to the part that matches the question you are sitting with.

Healing should be accessible: packages are customized to your goals and circumstances, so reach out and we’ll find an arrangement that works for both of us. The best first step is the Academy’s free Quantum Scan health assessment; someone will be with you within 24 hours of filling it in.
Your coaching plan starts with a conversation. Book a 1:1 with me and we will map it together: where you are, what your body is asking for, and what a package built around you actually looks like.
